Hi everyone.

Im in the process of mounting a Holley elec. fuel pump. I chose to remove the gas tank so I could drill some mounting holes for the fuel pump. No it's time to put the tank back in, and..... I can remember how the straps secure to the frame.

I know the pass. side uses the "J" bolts. How does the driver's side mount?

Thanks in advance.

Can somebody with a 68-71 Ranchero please crawl under their truck and let me know how the drivers side of the gas tank straps mount to the frame? A pic would be good too....

Are you asking about the straps that runs front to back or side to side?

Lemme know, I can post pics of mine.

I finally got back to working on the Ranchero. I was wanting to know how the straps mount to the driver's side. I set the hooks that secure the straps to the mounting points off to the side and finally found them.

The drivers side uses non-adjustable hooks. They kind of look like a staple that has been used (bent in on itself) but with one "hook" at 90* to the other one.

The passengers side used the "J" bolts.

Hope this helps someone out someday.
