One of my headers had a couple of really bad dents on the bottom of it. Found a really cool way to fix it though.
First I made caps for both ends of it out of scrap steel. Try to get these air tight.
On the plate that was on the collector end I drilled a 7/16" hole and put a 1/4npt tap through it for a male air fitting.
We put about 35psi of air in the header, then we used a rosebud tip and heated up the dents. They slowly poped out.
Mine were leaking air a bit, but that didnt seem to matter too much.
I couple of motorcycle dudes told me about this. It really does work!
Just thought I would pass it on.
Now to make some skid plates for those headers...
