Does anyone know how to tell 4v cleveland heads apart without taking them off. I have heard that if you switch from open chambers to quench chamber heads it raises compression. My car is a 71 torino gt. Any help is appreciated.
4V (big valve head) has 4V cast into the top of the head outside the rocker cover boltdown point.
Dunno about whether you can tell if open chamber or closed though.
