Alrighty, so, i took apart my Hurst Comp Plus Shifter for maintenance. All the parts were good, except for the piece that would be the Detent plunger. From what i know, the Detent plunger is a "T" piece that rest in two notches in the shifter handle sleeve. However, the one i have is more of a pin, and is more cylindrical. Any suggestions or comments?

Welcome to the forums. While I can't see what's wrong with the old plunger, it should be a simple matter to make a new one on a lathe from a chunk of rod stock, or even shaped with files in a drill. I assume you've already called Hurst?

Due to this one being differently shaped from the usual plunger, it doesn't clear the casing as well as it could. Also, one side of the top piece is worn down, (not shown in the picture due to the angle), so it doesn't seat well in the selector case. If needs be, i can buy a new selector case and pin. I was just curious if anyone knew of Hurst Shifter's coming with such a pin.
