I found a company that has the coolant bypass plate for the 351 C engine. There is a difference with it though, It doesn't have the large hole in the center of the restrictor it has a 1/16 hole in the center. I called the person I got it from and they said to not enlarge the hole and to use a Chevy 160 degree thermostat. They say that the engine will run cooler with this setup. Anyone heard of this?

I'd keep the hole size the same as factory or close to it. Chevy thermo? They'll all the same size and style just the gasket and temp rating is different.
