I have water in my air compressor, I have drain it a couple of times, and it still builds up, what do I need to do to get it out

Keep draining it....

Didn't you know that the simple act of the compressor, compressing the air heats it up causing the moisture in the air cling to the insides of the tank and run rampant throughout your system?

There is NO way to stop this from happening but there are inline air dryers to prevent it from shooting out your air tools. And you have to empty them all the time as well...

could the drier need to be replaced?

Everyone does, that is something we have to live with. Climate has much to do with it. I heat my garage in winter and that solves most of the moisture issue. Like FE said, there are filters available to help with the problem but I don't think they will eliminate it. Unless you are willing to spend some big bucks.
