of my 65, but I don't want it to be percieved as dorky. The weight savings is good, and personally I like the way it looks, but in this area I would like a general enthusiast consensus.

Rolled pan would be similiar what you see on the rear of some late model Chevy trucks without a rear bumber. Nerf bars are similiar to what the mid 60's Shelby Cobra had for a bumper. Hope that helps.

Hit Google and search images for 66 Shelby Cobra and Chevy Truck Rolled Pan. Should get you what you want.

You know, a figerglass front and rear bumper or painting existing bumpers might look pretty good too.

look at some of the 65 - 66 Shelby Mustang-R versions and compare them to the regular production frontend. They have a spoiler/air dam/roll pan thing on the front. What you are talking about is a strip of metal or fiberglass that hides all the "nasty bits"...like the bottom of the radiator, front bulkhead that are behind the bumper.

Not to be the only one to pee in the punch...but I don't like the bumper-less look on a '65 Galaxie. Different tastes are what makes the world go 'round. As always, it's your car, you can have it your way.

Went to a car show in Grayslake IL on May 7th and saw an example of both the bar and the pan. Hmmmmm. I dont know yet, but I do know that I do not want to put the conventional bumper back on. Keep going with feedback or pics if ya'll got any.
