I am getting ready to install my ignition and was wanting some opinions/advice on which route to go. I have a 66 Fairlane with 302, Roush Heads, Hedman Headers. It currently has a duraspark distributor which I am going to stick with for the current time. I found the following web page and figured I would follow the instruction on it but did not know what plug and plug wires would be best.

http://users3.ev1.net/~bmarr/duraspark_ignition_upgrade.htm

Also, what is the best way to remove the gel that leaked from the old ford ignition module, that crap is tough, and is one reason for me to upgrade to the MSD 6AL.

Thanks

Hello. I had that same goop leaking from a ballast resistor in the fluorescent lights in my garage. Installed a new ballast and removed the goop from the fixture with laquer thinner. Worked great.......John

If you decide to get a new distributor, consider our D.U.I.-Davis Unified Ignition or our custom curved Duraspark distributor. Please see them at:
