95-97 351's were factory rollers and also lightnings but they got a flat tappet cam from the factory. The stroker kits are no different in regards to using a factory roller block. 393-408-418-427 can all be accomplished in a factory 351 block. Yes a 5.8 is a 351

Cams are very different if you run a non-roller block and use a factory HR lifter.

All F4TE(mid 94-up) W blocks are roller capable.

is $250.00 too much for a 351 from a 1994 f150 that burned and is this a ROLLER motor.I saw where bad 88 gives the F4TE code ,where will I find this number. If this is just a regular 351 then its not worth it to me I want a roller 5.8! my 347 is not 6 month old and I want MORE!!!

look at the block by or where the starter would be you will find a casting number if the casting number starts with f4te then it's a roller block otherwise it isn't.

The F4TE block was a mid model year change so it was available during the 94 MY, so you may or may not have one.
