im putting a H/C/I 302 in my ranger with a C4... the engine is in.. but i'd say its off by a degree or two left to right with the fabbed motor mounts... it was fine when i checked it the first time i test fitted it.. but after bolting everything up it seems to have lowered just a tad on the driver side. Carb is a 670 Cfm holley street avenger (Vac secondary) with a wieland stealth...

should i pull the motor for a degree or two or am i just being obsessive? thanks

A small amount probably won't hurt any thing-how is it front to back on top of the intake? Your motor is never level when torque rocks it anyway.

When you drive on the roads, going uphill or downhill the motor is not level then either. I agree that a small amount is not going to affect how it runs.

Carb pad level is not critical so long as you can get the float level set right and the oil isn't held away from the pickup.

Make sure you match the tailshaft angle to the pinion angle, or you could kill driveshafts.
