is the fuel pump not enough???

i have a stock fuel pump on the motor in my signature.....i had a slightly smaller hydraulic cam in it b4 and it seemed to pull just fine......since i changed the cam it seems to not pull like it use too......i also put some ET streets on it too... would the traction cause the motor to work harder and need more fuel than that pump can put out?????
