Very nice! What a beauty!!
I love it! Best Mustang color in my opinion. I had to settle for boring red…I know it is a Galaxie forum, and I do often write about my 66LTD here, but the color of your beautiful car has me wanting to share my OTHER car, my 66 Mustang, convertible, obviously, painted in the famous Arcadian Blue, which I would think is the color of your car? BTW, I would take your much more rare car over a Mustang anyday!

I am so embarrased you guys, for tramping all over your posts. You'd think by now I would have learned how to operate this thing. Please accept my apology. I was just going to say what a great job Jazzmeister did on his '65 Galaxie, parts being on the scarce side, and then we see his Mercury which must have been harder still. I owned a '65 Galaxie convertible back in 1966 - 68. It was a 390/4 speed, Poppy Red. Got it from a kid who had just been drafted and was soon to be on his way to Viet Nam. Unfortunately, I was a stupid kid then myself (some things apparently don't change), and I abused it, broke it, several times, and finally traded it for a new '68 Road Runner which I couldn't break. Now, beside my 63.5 Galaxie, I have a '66 Mustang convertible with a Sapphire Blue ('66 T-bird color) Shelby paint job that I really like. I like your lighter blue as well. This was a good time for pretty exterior colors. JDS66 - your horse looks Candy Apple Red to me. That was (is?) a very popular color and there's a good reason for it - it's gorgeous! My '66 F100 is wearing several coats of it. The other picture is my holiday U S Flag Display (overlooking the fact that the Falcon's colour is named after a British tennis tournament!). So Happy Memorial Day and again, I apologise for hijacking your post.
That is not a hijack! Exactly what I wanted to see…great collection, and sorry about the one that “got away”.View attachment 176071 View attachment 176072
