I just had to put a new water pump on my 87 F-150 with 300 CU IN Straight 6. How much horsies do I gain from leaving off the clutch fan and adding an electric one?

Thanks guys!

You could probably estimate about 15 or 16 horsepower by using an electric fan and maybe another 15 horses by free flowing exhuast. Be careful though that straight 6 may like a little backpressure so i would put a flowmaster on it. Good Luck

Thanks for the reply, but how can you tell if it likes backpressure?

I can tell you from experience that the stock 300 runs much much better with exhaust than without. My exhaust broke off about 3 feet from the manifold and it ran like crap until I got it hooked up again.
