Got my "new" rear today, its a large bearing 9" from a '57 ford. Someone mentioned explorer brakes on one, is there an article I can look at telling me what to get? Also, it does have 28 spline axles that look pretty shabby. I'm gonna get a complete third member (locker and all) and the guy said I could have either 28 or 31 spline. Would it be worth going to 31 splines?

Yes, get the 31 spline setup. Much stronger than the 28 spline. There really is no reason to go 28 spline.
