Not on a 64 but have on alot of others, mostly adding to lift a truck and make it haul more. Should be near same work. There is 2 brackets that holds all leaf springs together that wraps around all, one in front and one in back. Jack car body up on stands and another jack on rear housing to take weight off car. Remove the bolts and take leaf out. One I did I just bent the bracket off , placed another in but bracket had to reshaped to bend back around. I got a friend that just removed 2 of his on a ford. He is dumber than a sack of hammers and he did it, Should go easy. Am sure someone smarter than I will post a pic or should be in a eariler post if you look. Everything else is in here of how to do.
