Hey.. ive been looking to upgrade my taillight, brake light turn signals and reverse bulbs to led but wondering if anyone has done this as well and know the part number and or recommendation on a good led bulbs for this?
I also understand i would have to upgrade the "light switch" *forget exact name) to an LED flasher type.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

I’ve done this on my 67 XL Convertible. Pick up a 3 prong Flasher, one of these will go to ground. Buy “Domestic LED Bulbs”. Stay away from the in line resistor, they get hot and you’ll need more than one. I purchased foreign made lites and had nothing but problems. Turned around and purchased Sylvania and GE bulbs with good success.
Good Luck

Newly installed Holley Retrobright headlamps, low beams only and LED brake and turn signals in the rear.

I have lef amber bulbs for the front coming soon.

Also installed the Led flasher relay.

This is a nice upgrade difference improvements for sure.

Only thing so far which i already noticed with the left side rear taillight is it does not show as bright as the passenger side. And i think it is because the driver side is a reproduction lense and must be thicker and or have different reflecting panel inside as both bulbs shine great outside of the lenses but once inside the lense the original lense shows brighter.
Great news, can’t wait to see the photo. I have yet to replace the head lights with LEDs myself. If you remove the tail light assemblies (painful) you may find just cleaning the reflective surface may help. This does require you loosen the bumper and drop it about an inch or so for clearance. Best of luck.

They make LED panels and bulbs for our older cars. They also had a display at SEMA. I just order a panel for my 1970 Torino GT. I hope this helped you. Mustang Project

We'll work on my uncle's incoming '67 verti soon and the led upgrade is on his list. Got to finish installing the new brake pads and mud tires on the truck this week before we can take her in.

I have the Holley LED amber bulbs installed in my '67. Nice and bright with the amber light seeming to fill the entire lens area evenly. No hot spots or drops off in brightness.
