Has anyone used the 12' disc brakes off a 71 Lincoln MarkIII on a 64 Galaxie? If so, what is involved? I have a set available, and thinking about trying them.

hey Ray. Whats the bolt pattern on that MkIII? 5 on 4.5"? You think I can get the big rear drum setup from it, or is it spoken for?

Will have to check, but I believe the Lincolns had 5 on 5 bolt pattern. Will PM you when I find out.

Tommifinn was in the process of fitting a Linclon disc on his 64.
Might be worth PM ing him for an update.

All Mark3s habe 5x 4.5,ray.The funky 5x5 started in 72 with the Mark4.
The Mark3 has the frontend that the T-birds from 67-79 had(also 5x4.5),but bigger brakes.Cause they actually made it out of a 67 Bird!
But i cant tell you if the spindles will fit.

Check out the BOSS302 chassis modification guide that Ford published. It covers using the big lincoln brakes on 69/70 Mustangs. Might be some usefull information.
