Ok I got a free 82 ford f-100 with a swapped motor and trans; where are the motor and Trans ID numbers located?

The trans is a 3 speed with no overdrive, and has no ele connections.

The Motor is some kind of small block, I was told it was a 302/5.0 out of a 1993 stang, but it has a 2b-carb but no points in the distriputer and looks like its from the 70s or 80s car.

The motor ID is on the side of the block around the main freeze plugs of the block, which is just below the exhaust, can't remember which corner though (near starter or near oil filter)?

It's a 1980 302 block (used up until the roller cam blocks) and the tranny is probably a C4. The tranny should have a tag on the front band servo cover. It is a steel tag about 5/8" by 2 1/2". it will have two lines of numbers and letters. That will allow decoding of what it is. The transmission pan is nearly square it is definitely a C4 (unless sombody wasted a C5 on a pickup truck.
