I am looking for a replacement dipstick.

It should be a dipstick that can be locked, so no oil can come out into my engine compartment.

I heared about an engine fire, started because the tranny was spitting out oil into the engine compartment via the dipstick that was pushed out.

Does anyone know a vendor who sells these types?

ever think your vent is cloged.If you have oil comming out you dip stick tube somethings wrong.Is the seal on the dip stick?? how bout the O ring on the tube?? none of mine leak

if you want one, fine, but you shouldnt need one. if you do, something is wrong. ati has a short replacement stick (about 3" long)that locks in the top of the stock tube. you still keep your stock stick in the garage or trunk to check the fluid level.

Thanks guys for the response.

There are no symptoms yet that any oil will come out off my fill tube, it is just the idea that it can cause an engine bay fire.
This would be something after all the hard work.
