Just received my stroker kit from Flatlander and measured the Scat crank.Main bearing clearances are set to Ford factory tolerances.Should I have the mains turned to obtain slightly more clearance ? This engine will see 7000 rpm, I will use fully grooved bearings and a hi press oil pump.Thanks guys.

You can also buy bearings that are .001 in. over. King Aleccular (spelling) makes them. I had to do this on a 326 stroker a few years ago. I had to use half of the standard bearing and half of the .001 over to get the clearence. I'd do this before turning the crank.

Ok,I think I need to have more clearance the way or another...Do you happen to know whether Summit or Flatlander sell these extra clearance bearings? Thanks guys.
