I have a 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 with a 390 motor. Trying to see if I have a matching numbers car. Can someone help me as to where on the engine block I can find the number. Would the number also be on the frame somewhere? Appreciate any help!

No such thing as matching numbers on a Ford. The best you can do is "period correct", meaning the engine/transmission were manufactured during the same time frame as the body. The body has the VIN in 3 places, the door plate - on the drivers side firewall - under the front fender on the drivers side. My 67 had a motor and transmission with a 73 casting number on the block, heads, intake and tranny. Not period correct.

Don't worry about it, unless you have an R code or something really rare it won't add to the value. Just drive it and enjoy the car.

There is an assembly date stamped above the oil filter adapter on a flat spot on the engine block. There is also a casting date just below the oil filter on an FE, so you can look at these compared to your scheduled build date on your data plate. The dates on the engine should be within a few weeks to a couple months (at the outside) before the build date of the car. It's key that the date is before the build date to be certain that it's a correct original engine. Although there were rare moments in Ford's history where production slowed enough to make cars late to be assembled relative to the scheduled build date (what appears on the door data plate), the normal situation was that an engine was cast then assembled shortly prior to the car's assembly.

It is true that many guys do not care about things matching anymore...I am NOT one of them...

Starting in 1968 Ford FE engines were stamped with a partial VIN on the rear of the block just below the deck.
Not sure about other engines (small block etc) but they probably got the same.
+1,
The transmission starting in '68, at least a C6 has the body serial stamped on the top rear end of the case. This was a federal order for car makers to do so. With that starting in 1968 numbers matching is indeed a thing, doesn't matter who made it.
