matching numbers

I have a 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 with a 390 motor. Trying to see if I have a matching numbers car. Can someone help me as to where on the engine block I can find the number. Would the number also be on the frame somewhere? Appreciate any help!

Not sure about other engines (small block etc) but they probably got the same.

The transmission starting in '68, at least a C6 has the body serial stamped on the top rear end of the case. This was a federal order for car makers to do so. With that starting in 1968 numbers matching is indeed a thing, doesn't matter who made it.
