I am in the process on getting my 71 formal painted. The chrome(stainless modeling) have paint overstrap and other crap on them. What can I use to strip all the junk off??? And how can I clean them like a professional. Do you them all done here is like 350+. They do a good job but $$$$$. How can I do all this myself and get a killer look??

Check this site. Scroll down there is a how to section. He may email you a "handbook" on polishing if you email him. BTW there is not a lot of stainless on a '71 Torino. Most trim will likely be anodized aluminum. or chromed pot metal. If it is stainless, paint stripper will work. On aluminum you need to be careful. Paint stripper will remove the anodizing which will allow you to polish the aluminum but it will corrode it away if you leave it on too long. Stu
