I recently installed an MSD 6A ignition box on my car. I've had my battery die on my twice so I replaced it with an Optima yellow top. I haven't driven my car since then.
But in the 6AL installation in the ARCHIVES, it shows the heavy red power wire going to the starter relay and the heavy black wire being grounded to a voltage regulater screw. But when I installed my 6A, the directions said to route each wire to the battery terminals. Which is correct? Does the box draw power from the battery even when the car is not running the way I have it installed? If I routed the wires the way they are routed in the tech article and not the way the inscructions said to, will it solve my battery issue?
