I was wondering if there are any good muffler shops around here in
the EAST BAY AREA. I was wondering if there are any shops who have a mandrel bender. I have not heard of any.

He does all my exhaust work. Beautiful job on my Mustang and my 57 Fairlane. His prices are reasonable and he's a good guy. I don't know if he has a mandrel bender or not, give him a call.
If you're having a complete system done, give him lots of time, during the week is best so he can spend time doing the job right. He works on Saturdays, but he gets real busy with all the SUVs etc. that need a muffler, cat., tailpipes etc.

I went to RPM Mufflers in Hayward on mission BLVD. The guy did an excellent job. Could not have asked any more.

There are a lot of places that have "mandrel" benders, but most of them are not exhaust oriented or do production runs only. The cost of a "mandrel" bender is day and night compared to the normal muffler shop crush bender, so expect that the price is going to be that way too.

There is a place called TurboHoses in Livermore that has a Mandrel Bender and they will make you a custom exhaust. Most of the time they do production type work and the quality is top notch. I believe they use Stainless and tig weld everything, so expect to pay top dollar.
