We are a very new company with only a handful of customers so far. We came up with an ignition box that is much more compact than current offerings and has the ability to multi-spark to redline. The ignition box is suitable for any car with a distributor, either with points or Pertronix. It delivers longer duration AC capacitive discharge sparks. The design is unique in that it uncouples the power supply from the coil when firing, allowing for a more efficient and compact power supply. I have some questions for your product if you please.

You mention it's multispark, how many occurrences does the coil fire per cylinder under best conditions at 6000 RPM for an eight cylinder engine?

By best conditions I mean at best you can only fire through less than 90 degrees of crankshaft rotation and that's on a perfectly phased rotor/distributor which in the real world, you'd be lucky to fire through 60 degrees of crankshaft rotation from TDC without fear of jumping two terminals, especially on the small diameter points distributor caps commonly found on Ford, GM and Chrysler.

Also how many Joules per spark do you deliver using the common Ford points or low energy electronic ignition oil filled ignition coil? Is your Joules per spark consistent between the first and subsequent occurrences per cylinder?

How does your product compare against Fords High Energy electronic Ignition used in the late 70's aside from multiple spark occurrences? I ask this because whilst Capacitive Discharge Ignition systems offer a more precise spark at a higher voltage potential there is less energy per spark than a regular current inductive charge ignition flyback arrangement. CDI systems can have a hard time igniting leaner mixtures and burning through any light to medium carbon or oil spark plug contamination. Most old carbureted cars suffer from one degree or another from this and I was wondering how your system handles this, if it even does?

What kind of coil primary damping is used to keep RFI to acceptable SAE levels? What is your measured RFI from a typical system? I ask this because CDI is notorious for spurious emissions that can affect other systems nearby in a typical automobile.

It would be great if you would post the answers, which would really be the technical specifications to your product here or on your website.

Thanks for the heads up I'm going to take the time to make a detailed and thorough spec sheet. We are very new however here are some basic facts regarding the unit to provide more information.
1. I am using it with an engine management computer with no issues
2. peak energy is much higher than inductive systems however total energy is likely lower
3. 135 mj stored in the discharge capacitor
4. 1.3 amps per thousand RPM V8
5. Goes in steps from 6-4-2 sparks based off RPM maxing out at 40 degrees duration during the switch from 4-2 sparks
6. For RFI reference the power supply runs at 35kHz
