Here’s my 66 Fairlane 500XL I spent 7 years building. Started life a 390/C6 car. Dad bought it running and driving with a 406 in 2001 for $1500 (if only they were still that cheap) but she did have quite the rotten body.

I started cutting the cancer out of it in 2012 and finished it in 2019. Was supposed to be done on my 16th in 2015 but ended up doing a lot more work to it. 429 (391whp 460wt), TKO600 5 speed, Rod and Custom Motorsports front end, 70 Cyclone GT dash swap.

Wanted it to look mostly stock and original from a distance then when you got close to it you could see all that was done. Went with the original burgundy and burgundy color combo

Beautiful 66! I'm slowly working on my 67 Fairlane 500 XL... Hope it ends up looking half that great.

Curious about the rotisserie deal shown with the car torn apart... Does that allow you to roll the car onto one side? Interesting...
