In spain there would be big ol trees with I think the same thing growing up into them. Really pretty. We have the cottonwood trees cottoning out here and sure not fun trying to do something on the car and snorting cotton balls out of the air or eating them.
The other trees blooked a while back if that's what it's called and thier catepillar like blooms fall onto your car and leave a nasty purple stain to remove.

THANKS
Yea it leaves quite a mess. Each one of those blooms turn into about a 6" to 8" long pods and when it drys out it explodes and shoots out about a dozen seeds. Your working on you car in the drive way and you hear a pop, a little tink tink (seeds hitting the car) and you get pelted in the back with seeds..

That is impressive, we have a Wysteria growing here in my backyard that looks about the same size. And yes, those seeds can be dangerous when they start a poppin'...INCOMING!!!! Big fans of the Wysteria are the big ol' black and yellow Bumble Bees! They get rather aggressive after awhile if you get too close to their prize flowers...they won't sting you, but they will chase you!

Looks great!
