I'd assume that if the pulley is stock for the unit, it should be OK. A smaller pulley would change the speed of the pump, right?

You got out of it easy! I just finished replacing the PS pump, valve, slave cylinder and all the hoses in the Torino. Funny thing how all those strange noises in the front end mysteriously went away. Damn good thing I got a buddy who works for CarQuest!

IF everything lines up ok , you should be ok. The larger pulley will mean fewer turns for the new P/S pump. More free HP

Check the turning at or right off idle. Thats where you should feel a differnece if there's is any.

Hope this helps...............

Thanx all. Im going to change it tomorrow, I'll let ya know what I used.
Shep, I have already changed everything else to, now it's making more noise then the lifter tick it has, time to change the pump.
Im really getting pissed at the steering on this pig, maybe time for a R&P setup.
