If i recall correctly you said you had 275s on your Mustang in the back. How on earth did you do that? I have a 66 fastback and was wonderring about something bigger than 245...maybe a 265. I noticed how your tires in the back dont stick out past the fender either. Thats how i want mine. Thanks for your help.

Well, it involves a sawzall...

I took a sawzall to the quarter panels to fit my (then) new 28" slicks. After I made enough room for those, 275/60/15 radials were no problem. The inner wheelhouses needed a little attention with a big hammer as well.

After they were 'cut to fit' I took a 1/8" welding rod and fit it into the gap between the inner wheelhouse and the quarter panel (as a 'bridge' and filler) and welded it in there. After that was done, a little filler and a splash of paint, and you can hardly tell a sawzall has ever graced the car's lovely exterior.

Without these modifications, you're pretty much limited to a 15x7 wheel with a 4.5" backspacing and a 235/60/15 or maybe a 245.

Good Luck!
