I just got something in the mail from them, wanting me to join... I'm a huge skeptic about dang near everything, but this sounds like a good thing, is anyone part of this "club" or is it just some guy ripping people off?

It came post mail, they do have a website http://www.streetmachineclub.com/ I'd say 50/50 chance it's a scam.

I got an email from them last week. It looks legit on the site, seems to be the usual advertising on it so they are probably just trying to get the traffic higher.

I belong to too many boards already so I'm going to pass.

It's legitimate. They publish a magazine called Street Thunder. It just started up last year and is run by the same company that operates North American Fishing Club, North American Hunting Club, Handyman club, and several others. I'm a member.

I would pass, my father bought into it, now they send him **** all the time and unless he returns it they will bill you for it.

I guess I've been lucky. I'm a lifetime member with them. I've received the
leather jacket, which is all I really expected for my lifetime dues of $240.
I've trial-tested some stuff (made in USA), got some stuff free (made in
China) and read the magazine- Street Thunder. (Scott Parkhurst is the
magazine editor, he used to work at Popular Hot Rodding mag- I've known
him for years)
Their customer service/billing process is a joke..... fortunately I don't
have many dealings with them.
Beyond that, there's been some interesting stuff- enough that I've never
read the magazine and just pitched it out in the trash.

I somehow got signed up for this deal too. Last week, the NSMC sent me a flyer asking if I wanted to test some speed stuff..they weren't specific about what, send in a report as to my impressions and get to keep the parts for the princely sum of $10 per year. It went directly to the circular file.
