Hi gang. I need a little advice on some mods on an EFI 5.0.

A little background on the car:
Shelby Cobra replica weighs 2100#, currently '93 5.0, mass air, T-5, 3.08 gears (future plans are for 3.55s).

I picked up a '88 5.0 out of a Mustang GT. It runs good but oil pressure drops as engine gets warm. I want to build this engine for later placement in the Cobra. It will generally be a street driven car, but I'd like it to perform better than the current stock 5.0.

This is what I know I'm going to do:
General rebuild
Home port heads

Now here's what I need to know:
Which cam?
What EFI mods?
Anthing else you would suggest?

I am on a budget, so keep the suggestions as low cost as possible. Thanks.

check places like ebay for a set of heads. maybe go with a 289 head from a 60s ford to raise compression a little bit. maybe go with an E303 cam. dont wanna go any bigger without opening up the intake with better heads and manifold. good headers too. i havent gotten into the fuel injection stuff yet so i cant say much about what you can do to improve a stock setup.

A good place to start would be to read the Build a 5.0 series of article in the archives. That was with edelbrock heads, but if you home ported a set of 289 or E7 heads, you could save quite a bit of cash and have similar performance.
