My young step-daughter recently graduated college and moved from PA to Seattle, WA. She got herself in some serious financial difficulty and the best way we can help her is to ship her our old Subaru Forester.

Any suggestion on who to contact about shipping the car? Nothing fancy needed, just cheap, open trailer would be fine--I would at least like to know they are reputable.

We could get the car to the shippers, assuming they are somewhat local to us from central PA--Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Baltimore all are possible.

Approximate cost to ship such a small vehicle would be of help too.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't know a specific hauler but check out the railways.I shipped my sister's mustang to her out west by rail and it was surprisingly cheap.I think it was less than $1000 when other shippers by truck wanted around $3000..It was also shipped in a closed container.
