I have an 88tbird 5.0 that runs and drives great but shuts off at about 98mph. I need to get rid of the governor. Could I use an 86-87 mustang GT ECM, though they are different firing orders, or just get the car reprogrammed?
Need more speed

Why ya need to go over 98 MPH.......in Germany or racing?? 
A tuner can fix it!! Another ECU more than likely won't work!!
