Ken, here's my .02!

The booster will probably work fine, has nothing to do with disc/drum but with the amount of assist. What you will need to do is check the rod to piston lenth and some of them are adjustable. What you need is almost zero play between the rod and master and make sure the masters piston will fully return when the pedal is not depressed, check some of the later Fords for that master, just make sure it's for disc drum and not disc disc. Not sure if the bolt pattern is the same but I also recall my ford explorer and my dodge van both use the aluminum masters. So look into the 90's+ era.
