I’m changing heads on a Ford 351 to the RHS Pro-action 200 CC cast iron heads. Can anyone give me a baseline for timing as a starting point? It will be 13 to 1 cr, circle race between 5000 and 7800 RPM. 4bbl HP 600 and it should have around 550 HP, but I do not have time or what I need to Dyno it before the next race. I have a great builder but he is new to these heads. Anyone out there running these?
Thanks in advance

I'm not familiar with those heads specifically, but if they're closed chamber swirl heads, I'd say start at 10º BTDC initial and work your way up. I'm going to say around 15º will give best power, but its best to creep up to it and not blow it up first time out.

Wow, I was going to start at 28 or 29, my (cracked up due to heat) n-heads were PERFECT at 28 deg, and I think they have a slightly better Comb Chamber so my thoughts were to start there unless someone (like yourself) knows more.
THANKS for your input.
