i know this is a ford page, but i am a chevy guy. i dont care what you drive as long a you have funn with it, thats the main thing right? ok heres my deliema i am trying to turbo charge a 85 camroe 2.8 liter i have all the things worked out except where the oil for the turbo is going to come from. i was thinking of installing an oil cooler kit and instead of the hoses going to to cooler have them go to the turbo. now my question is how much psi is in the oil filter? thank for ur help.

A 2.8 with a turbo? I thought those things threw rods when they were just NA!

There should be the same oil pressure before and after the filter as you are showing on your oil pressure gauge, give or take a couple PSI. I'd guess around 60-80psi cold, and 40-60 warm, but I'm not a chevy guy, so I don't know what they normally run for oil pressure. Seems to me that what you are suggesting should work fine, though.
