I went racing Friday night in the Stang after the addition of a Detroit locker and the replacement of the Professional Products Air Gap intake with a Vic Jr.

Traction was nowhere to be found. I spun on all 4 runs. I never tried to baby it out of the hole because I was really aiming at my first 11 second run. I am not sure if it was a greasy track or my crappy burnouts holding me back. Maybe both.

My usual 60 foots are in the 1.7x range with a best of 1.69. My 60's on Friday were all around 2.0 seconds!
My usual mph is mid 109's and my mph on Friday was 112!!
It looks like the Vic Jr. is making a good bit more power.

My best time last month looked like this:
60...1.693
330...4.877
1/8...7.595
mph...90.37
1000...9.975
1/4...12.016
mph...109.70

My new best mph with crappy 60' looked like this:
60...2.012
330...5.252
1/8...7.937
mph...91.92
1000...10.270
1/4...12.235
mph...112.09

If I can manage to get around the 1.7x range again with my newfound top end charge, there is no reason I shouldn't run an 11.9

To Rodney's credit, it was for sure poor track prep it appeared. Just watching it looked like everyone was spinning and not hooking. You gotta think something is off when a guy w/ a Ford GT supercar w/ drag radials only turns a mid 12's....them suckers are suppose do 11.80's from most of the tests i've seen w/ stock tires...anyway good job on the new MPH!!! 11's next time.....

Judging from numbers I've seen before, I would say you're good for about mid to high 11's. You have the MPH for it.

I think high 11's should be attainable now. Hopefully the track will be a little better next time and I will heat the tires and launch it better as well.

It was a fun night of racing. A guy I know, as David stated, took his Ford GT with new drag radials and ran a 12.4 and a 12.6 on the 2 runs I saw him make. That is one sweet car. He let me drive once a while back and it draws as many eyes as a car wreck!! It was fun pretending like it was mine when I stopped at a restaurant

Also Friday night I got to see the fastest Mustang LX Coupe I have ever seen. I dont remember the exact time but it was in the 4.6-4.7 second range in the 1/8 mile!! He had more than a few mods done to it.
