Had a great evening at the Atlanta Dragway with a childhood buddy who was running his 2000 Z28(I spanked him all 3 times we ran). Temps started in the low 80's and were down to low 70's by the end of the evening.
First time i had been to the track in over a year in the 03 Stang. My prior best was a 13.71 @101.40. Since then I installed the Steeda UDP's, Stack racing upper plenum/spacer and the FRPP aluminum d/s. I was running on a set of new 235/60/15 BFG drag radials w/ skinnies on the front. I pulled the front sway bar off, removed the back seat. The car w/ driver tipped the scales at 3,285lbs. Here is the run down

Conclusions: Appears I picked up .48 mph trap speed over last year and .133 tenths. However last year i was able to hit and 83.42 in the 1/8, this year my best was 82.63. I felt i was getting a little more comfortable with the BFG's by the end of the evening. On my best 60' time suprising i did a weak small burnout that barely got the tires smoking. I was letting them burn for a good period till i saw lots of smoke in the rearview. Overall I'm very happy w/ the times given my stock 3.27 gears...I felt pretty good as there were several new edge GT Stangs there that did not have near my times and even two Cobra's which were running low 13's and alot more mph than me. I think its becoming very apparent that gears will be needed if i plan to get serious about chipping my et down. Dang this was fun....
