Tonight I ran a new E.T of [email protected]
It looks like weather played a large part last time because I changed NOTHING since last time out when it was very hot.
I ran 12.9's most of the night.
Here is my best run:

RT- .238(RED LIGHT)
60' 1.786
330'....5.280
660'....8.226
MPH....83.10
990'....10.795
MPH....102.73
E.T.....12.93

The track surface really went bad after round 1 of time shots because my 60' times were in the 1.8 range most of the night because they didn't prep the track during the night. I usually run in the 1.73 range. If felt like the tires were slipping a little during the first 60'. It felt "squirrely"
Tire pressure was at 13#
I'm pretty happy with these new times though. There might be another tenth or two with some fine tuning.
I'd be interested to see what it runs with the exhaust uncorked.

Congratulations your finally in the 12s..My 306 would typically gain about 2-3 tenths by uncorking the headers...You didn't equal your best 1/8th or 1/4 mph of the other timeslips you posted so there is still some left in it for sure

How much mph did you gain by unhooking the exhaust?

I gained about 2-3 mph.Of course this all depends on how effecient your exhaust system is...I have 2 1/2 pipes with afterburner mufflers. My restriction is my crappy non mandrel bent 2 1/4 inch tailpipes.

I did notice that I'm at 6k through the traps which might help explain why top end power is down. My cam is about done at that rpm.
Should I consider a taller slick? I have 26x9x15 slicks now.

102+MPH is only about 5500 with 26 inch tires. If it's turning 6000 then the converter is slipping. Seems like the car did run better this time out though.

Congrats on making the 12's! It always feels nice when you get a new best but it makes it that much better when you drop to a new "second zone."

It is very strange that your 1/8 mile was 2 mph slower in the cooler air and your 1/4 was 4 mph faster than your last time out.

The track surface sucked. My first run I got my usual 1.7 60' time and the rest I was 1.8's. They did not keep the launch pad in very good shape that night.
That 12.93 was with an almost 1.8 60' time.

I'm kinda impressed with my low 1.7 60' times I usually get because that's with sway bar attached and 14yr. year old non racing shocks and struts. The only suspension mod I have are subframes.

I'm seriously considering installing my Sniper system and "juice" my way into the 11's
