New to the forum, but been a gear-head forever.

Traded my old Harley today for my first Falcon. Its a 65 4dr wagon that came with a 6 and an auto, but now has a 302 and C5. I havent checked the numbers to see if its really a 302 or a 289, dont care either way. It has an 8" in the rear and the guy said that it has a Cougar front suspension......I will verify that latter also. Runs real good and needs a front end alignment in the worst way (its pigion toed).

Got the alignment done, really cant get any positive camber out of it, although its better. My steering box is sloppy and the idler arm is done. I ordered a new idler today, but am in the air on the steering box. Do I have it rebuilt, along with the power control unit? Do I save my pennies for a Borgsen intagrated PS box?

Any input?

I kinda like rack & pinion myself, but if I had it to over again it would be MII conversion. Nice car, I like the color.

Nice! Been thinkin about just rebuilding my stocker and go manual. Its not like I'm gunna go with big tires on the front. Will probably end up with a retro pro-street, 70's draggin wagon when I'm done.
