Really after some help please im a v8 newbie infact its the first v8 i've ever owned i've always had efi motors! All i have is the motor I believe i've got a ford 390 and its got 3 holley carbs on it list# 2437. Its missing a few bits which is why im here to seek advice! its missing the complete rocking assembly, distributor, push rods, and flywheel aswell as some other bits! Just wondered which distributor should i use? i've seen some mallory ones on ebay, are these any good? also wondered which push rods should i use?

could anyone please tell if these would fit my 390 motor? i apologize for all my questions i need to get my v8 education thanks in advance for any help!

Fe rocker assy are usually a non adjustable item. Just bolt on and go except if you have a solid lifter cam. Then you need the adjustable style. Yes, that rocker assy will work. As for a dizzy, it all depends on what you are going to do with the vehicle. All OEM--points dizzy. You could go with a Ford Duraspark for another factory look. Aftermarket like Mallory, MSD, Accel, Crane, DUI all make good dizzys with and without Electronic spark boxes.

I got parts like complete rocker shaft assemblies and distributor at my local auto part supplier. I've got a business account so saved some money and rely on retailer warranty, returns, etc. You might want to check tha option out. It's amazing what is still available.

thanks for the replys i won the auction on ebay for the rocking assembly so hopefully its on its way to me! im not sure which cam i got in there!pretty sure its got hydraulic lifters though! thanks again for the help
