Hey all. I'm new to the forum and certainly glad I found it. Rain has been getting into the cab of my '64 (driver and passenger side) and soaking the carpet near the kick panels. I'm wondering if it's due to bad windshield rubber. Anyone had this problem or can offer a suggestion? Thanks for any help in advance.

Could be bad weatherstripping. Also could be rust under your cowl. One is an easy fix. The other will require cutting apart welded seams.

Easy test. Cover and seal the air inlet in the cowl next time it rains. If your floor gets wet, it's not the rust problem.

sit in the cab, an have some one hose it down an you watch for the leak.

X2. It is pretty easy to see because the trickle of water on the inside of the windshield runs in a different direction than the water on the outside. I marked the spot and fixed mine by pulling off the trim and globbing some sealer over the leak in the gasket.
