I went with a modular 4.6 DOHC in my Zephyr, mostly because i had the already built drivetrain on hand. Was a fairly straightforward swap and the car is a total blast to drive. Fits under the stock hood too.
Pics of my heap? Won't that hijack the thread?Pics!
I swapped the drivetrain in pretty quickly, used a stock ECU and wiring. After chasing my tail for a while i realized the ECU was suspect so i installed a Holley Term X max and am super happy with it.Ah, I thought you already swapped the new acquisition somehow (damn that was fast!). 🤪 Oh, hell - you had a ton of room for that 32V. 😉
By this time next year. Trying to do it without going deep in debt. Getting engine and trans next week. 460/C-6.@rickyracer1983 - do you have a drivable goal date? Summer or something?
This is well preserved. What I pulled out of my 72 Comet GT.Your alternator fell off. Nice it came with the free protective grease and dirt coating. Well preserved, I imagine.
Blue one had a Currie Ent, 9". I used 4.30 locker for drag racing and 3.50s for street.View attachment 175210
Just a guess, but thinking your last Zephyr had a decent rear in it. What are the plans for this one?
Looks like a 7.5 in the rusty shot now.
