Just installed new ignition, distributor, alternator, etc....Car cranks quickly but test lamp in-line on high voltage wire between coil and distributor shows spark for first second or two of cranking, then no more during that cranking event and no spark at #1 plug wire at all, even when coil is firing.
Thanking everyone in avance for there ideas (I also posted this on the EFI techboard but no reply yet)
Sorry; 1969 Mustang Mach 1, aluminum block 351W stroked to 427ci, Mass-Flo fuel injection system with Mallory "Series No. 79" distributor. My coil makes a spark when cranking but no spark from distributor.
Brand new Mallory distributor wasn't forwarding the spark from the coil-I took the distributor from the old motor (same Mallory part #) and the bitch gagged once and fired right up!
Yeah 'cause when I put the old distributor back in I was too lazy to swap the wires so I kept the new cap and rotor and put tho old distributor under the new stuff!!
