I have a set of 14x7, 4.25" backspacing original Magnum 500's that I am planning to use on my '67 coupe once it gets back from paint! Anyone know the absolute widest 60 series I could run in this combination with no rubbing in any situtation? BTW they have to be BFG Radial T/A's (RWL) for the right look
They make the Radial T/A's in:

205, 215, 225, 235, 245 / 60 / 14

(They also make a 225/70/14, would that be too tall to look right?)

I'd be fine with running a slimmer tire up front, and wider in the rear as I know the a arm could be a problem with width in front. Also have already looked at this linky:

Does that 14x7 listing mean I can only run 215's to not get rubbing? Maybe a 215 front, and 225 or 235 rear? I'd really like to get these tires ordered and set on the rims before car leaves paintshop -- I'm on a VERY tight schedule.

I have 225-60-R15's on my fronts and they used to rub before I rolled the fender lips. I have 245's on back and they rub if there is lots of people in the car and I hit a big bump. On 14's 215's whould work with the right backspacing.
