So I was driving up the highway at nice speeds when all of a sudden (when I slowed off the offramp) the ALT light comes on. What's this an indication of?

I got a load test done, and the battery isn't being charged fully. He said it could be a voltage regulator? Where can this be found if applicable.

I guess last resort the alternator has to be changed.

Thanks for any input.

regulator should be behind the battery tucked into the fender. If it is the original replace it because it should have been a long time ago. If you need a new alternator replace both as it recommends to do so.

It is tucked under the fender, bolted to the radiator support on the passenger side...should just be a couple 5/16" or 3/8" bolts.
You are going to have to take the battery out to get at it easy.
