howdy all , i have some issues with my early 400 in my 71 galaxie hearse . The engine recently blew a head gasket .. which has been fixed with the heads being skimmed 10thou . The c6 transmission has had a complete rebuild as well . Now it has developed a couple of leaks . One at the front near the distributor and the other at the rear near the oil sender . I am assuming both of these items have o rings which may have **** themselves when the gasket blew and the engine overheated . Any thoughts before i pull them could it be anything else ? Also there does appear to be a Knocking noise .. hard to tell and pinpoint when its running as its so damn noisy with short pipes hanging out the side of the car . Any thoughts would be appreciated . Cheers

Sounds like intake end gaskets leaking and a partially ineffective PCV system.
Agreed! Pull the intake and replace with new gaskets, also instead of using the cork end gaskets use a very thick bead of high temp RTV (the red kind) as the cork seals like to leak and slip when being installed.
