Hey all!! Just wanted some opinions on my tentative plans for my '74 F100 motor. I currently have a stock bottom-end 302 in it with some mild mods (Edelbrock 650, Edelbrock Performer intake, MSD 6AL complete ignition with distributor, all coming out of Hooker headers, sitting on stock heads and stock bottom end, to include cam). I am currently planning/parts shopping for a block-up rebuild (as the current block was rebuilt around 6K ago), and am mainly focusing on adding a roller setup, swapping the Edelbrock for a Holley, and also trying to decide whether to work the E7TE stock heads or opt for a budget set of aluminums. My main question is this; being that I want to go to a roller setup, would it be better to stick with my current block or try and find an HO block? Thanks for any advice!

Before I can give any recommendations is it a short bed or a long bed? Manual or automatic? Will you be towing with this package or is it for hot rodding around in?
