I am going to build a new motor for my 68 mustang. I will be using the car for bracket racing. I am building a 351W with flat top pistons, stock heads that have had some mild porting done, Rpm intake, 750 dp, C4, 4:56 gear and 26" slicks. I am trying to decide which cam to use, have been looking at four Comps Cams the Magnum 270 & 280, & the new Xtreme 268 & 274 just wondered what one you would recommend and how much stall should I have.

Well i know that the Magnum 280 on a chevy 350 (sorry for the chevy reference) made peak power at about 5700 rpm, and pulled to about 6200 pretty strong, although it was run with a vic. jr. If you are going race only, i would think bigger is better on the cam side of things. With stock heads, more duration on the cam will help fill the cylinders. If you end up going with the 280 or similar sized cam, i would think you'd want about a 3000 rpm stall.
